Our first date was a simple lunch… but there was nothing simple about what happened next. It was love at first sight. The kind where you just know. We talked about anything and everything, laughter came easily, and by the time lunch was over, we both felt it: this was something special.

From that day on, we talked or texted every single day. Not because we had to — but because we wanted to. Somewhere between the good mornings and good nights, we both realized we had found our soulmate.

We share so much in common it’s amazing. In fact, our Pastor joked that we must have cheated on our compatibility test because our score was so high. But the truth is simple — we just match. We think alike, value the same things, and move through life in step with one another. Most of all, we believe God brought us together at exactly the right time in our lives.

For our first Valentine’s Day — Fred arranged for Paws from the Detroit Tigers to personally deliver red roses, chocolates, a heartfelt message, and two tickets to a Tigers game. Yes, really. It was a complete surprise and the sweetest thing.

Almost exactly one year later — February 15, 2025 — Fred completely surprised me again by proposing at The Whitney. In one of the most beautiful settings imaginable, I said the easiest “YES” of my life.

From a first message to forever — our story is filled with faith, laughter, perfect timing, and a whole lot of love.
